BACKGROUND: State Rep. Gretchen Driskell is a candidate for Congress in Michigan’s 7th District. After working as an accountant for 10 years, Driskell served as Mayor of Saline, where she balanced the budget every year while funding local schools and creating jobs. Gretchen is running to fix our broken system, stop American jobs from being outsourced and give everyone a fair shot at achieving the American Dream. She knows that working together, we can build communities that help everyone succeed, not just those with power and access. In order to do that, team Gretchen will host a canvass kickoff in order to build on the campaign’s grassroots momentum and speak with voters about the issues they care most about. Special guest Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-4) will address the importance of commonsense leadership in Washington and why State Rep. Gretchen Driskell is the 7th District’s best choice in November.
